Either intentionally or unintentionally advertised for one type of device and sent a (significantly) different one. I would recommend NEVER using this vender!!! you'll never know what you get.

Not worth fighting for something that most likely won't be fixed!!!!!!

I love my mac mini.

I hooked it up to my HDTV and now my TV is a second computer, although I only use it for media such as hulu and netflix or from my external harddrive. Picture and audio are great and the mac mini runs quickly and doesn't seem to get overheated based on this usage.

The only complaint I have is that the CD/DVD drive can be a bit loud when ripping a CD or DVD.

I was initially going to buy a boxee, roku or appletv, but this edition of mac mini isn't much more expensive and it has many, many more capabilities than any other option.

My in-laws are PC users, but they love their Apple TVs. Problem was, keeping iTunes up and running all the time (to stream to the Apple TVs) on an ancient Windows machine with multiple use accounts. Other problem: I'm act their tech support department, and I'm hardly a qualified tech.

Solution: Stick a Mac Mini in an out-of-the-way spot to do nothing but stream iTunes to the Apple TVs.

No mouse, no monitor, just a Mac Mini.

If there's ever a problem, I take care of it without ever leaving the house by logging in with Mac Screen Sharing.

But there's never once been a problem.

Perfect.
